Green tea (Camellia sinensis) provides antioxidant support both vaginally or rectally. Each suppository contains approximately 250mg of green tea in a base of organic cocoa butter and vitamin E oil. Green tea contains a small amount of caffeine.

Green tea is very high in polyphenols which have potent antioxidant and anti-tumor properties. The major polyphenols in green tea are flavonoids, including catechin, epicatechin, epicatechin gallate, epigallocatechin gallate, and proanthocyanidins. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is thought to be the most significant active component of green tea. Products with higher EGCG content, are thought to be more potent. Other compounds in green tea include vitamin C, a very small amount of caffeine, theanine, lignins, organic acids, protein and chlorophyll.

The catechins in green tea are thought to have anti-inflammatory activity by COX-1 and COX-2 inhibition, leukotriene inhibition, and nitric oxide synthetase activity.

Each suppository is individually packaged. If suppositories are warm in transit, they will melt within the suppository mold. Simply place the suppositories in a cool/cold place to harden them again. This temperature change does not affect the efficacy of the product.

This product contains herbal powder that may settle during the cooling process. Variation in color throughout the suppository is normal.
